A Day in Fairbanks

The day started with the excitement of getting the oil changed in the car.  We then went to brunch, and shopping where we got some things for our daughters birthdays later this year.  You, have to wait.  Then we went on a paddle wheel boat on the Chena River.  We saw, a plane (a "brush pilot")  , racing dog team kennels, nice homes along the river, and an native village (a re-creation of one.)  There are no pictures as we forgot to take the camera.  But then I did not see anything I would think worthy of this blog.  Mary did enjoy the trip and the native village.  We then had a pleasant dinner on a deck over looking the river.
We did decide to start the trip home tomorrow.  We may camp, so we may not be on line every day.  One of the roads we are headed for is the Top of the World Hyway.  Between Tok, AK and Dawson City, YT.  Folks tell us this is a great trip, but slow as the road is gravel. Will try to get something blog at least every other day.
